QSS International Inc. has been awarded various new projects in the Washington Metro region to include:

– U.S. ARMY awarded QSSI the Washrack System Renovation and Upgrade project at the Arlington National Cemetery

– The General Services Administration (GSA) awarded QSSI the following projects:

– REPLACE TWO (2) EXTERIOR STORM DRAINS in Springfield, VA
– REPLACE EXISTING 15 TON SPLIT SYSTEM w/ 5 TON A/C in Springfield, VA
– RE-STRIPE PARKING LOT for GSA Headquarters in Washington, DC

– Frederick County, MD awarded QSSI the Senior Center Facility HVAC Systems Upgrade project

QSSI is awarded the Ross & Lucas Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF-MR) Group Homes by the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board

This project is for the construction of two (2) adjacent Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF-MR) in Spotsylvania County, VA.

QSS International, Inc. Awarded MBE Certification by MDOT

QSS International, Inc. (QSSI), a General Contractor, is pleased to announce its certification and entry into MDOT MBE program effective September 21, 2011.

QSS International, Inc. (QSSI), a general contractor providing construction services to commercial and government clients alike, is pleased to announce its certification and entry into the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) program. This certification allows QSSI to provide general contracting services to the Maryland Department of Transportation as well as the State of Maryland. QSSI will be listed in the MBE Enterprise Directory which is used by prime contractors and consultants seeking minority subcontractors and/or consultants to perform work on projects led by the Department/Agencies of the State of Maryland.

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) awards QSS the Renovate the Enterprise Management Facility (EMF) in the North lab Building (L01) project at the USCG TISCOM in Alexandria VA

Major items of work shall include the following:  Remove existing wall between operations center and existing server room.; Provide new wall for UPS enclosure including both relocated and new doors; Provide HVAC return air ductwork, floor supply air grilles and local controls for VAV floor diffusers.  Relocate existing thermostat and humidistat;Relocate UPS power panel including temporary power, and rewire existing power feeds; Provide new ceiling grid and tiles and relocate existing lights as indicated; Remove portions of existing raised access flooring and infill with new panels, posts and new seismic bracing; Provide new power and lighting for expanded operator modules; Relocate chemical agent fire protection system in the server room; Relocation of Communication systems, Fire Alarm systems, and clean agent; Install Siemens control panel (located in the boiler room) on the existing UPS and Generator; Install HID readers to existing UPS and generator.

QSS INTERNATIONAL INC. Ranks No. 249 on the 2011 Inc. 500 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 1,291.6%

FAIRFAX, VA, August 23, 2011 — Inc. magazine today ranked QSS International Inc. NO. 249 on its 30th annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio, Oracle, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500.

The 2011 Inc. 500, unveiled in the September issue of Inc. (available on newsstands August 23 to November 15 and on Inc.com), is a group of companies that are smaller but much faster-growing than last year’s crop. Aggregate revenue is $10.5 billion, with a median three-year growth of 1,275 percent. The companies on this year’s list employ more than 46,000 people and generated over 35,000 jobs in the past three years. Methodology

The 2011 Inc. 500 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2007 to 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2010. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2007 is $100,000; the minimum for 2010 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue.
