Smithsonian Institution awards QSSI an IDIQ for Construction Services. The Smithsonian Institution requires a variety of construction services for commercial and institutional buildings and related structures, to include without limitation new construction, renovations, additions, modifications, repair and maintenance, and on-site assembly of modular or prefabricated commercial and institutional buildings.

The IDIQ contract is for a Base Period of one (1) year; plus, nine (9) one-year option periods. Task orders issued here under shall be valued between $500,000.00 and $8,000,000.00

Paint FCU cover tops, Replace damaged ceiling grid and tiles as necessary, and Provide lighting and HVAC.

The U.S. Coast Guard Yard awards QSSI the Rebuild Travel Lift Piers at Portsmouth, VA USCG Base.

The works includes: Removal of north and south haul out piers including handrails, miscellaneous steel appurtenances and all other items located on the piers.  Removal of concrete piles at haul out piers.  Removal of timber fender system at haul out piers.  Removal of existing building foundations.  Removal and replacement of existing pavement.  Repair of steel bulkhead.  Furnishing and installing new precast concrete piles.  Construction of new cast in place haul out piers (two), complete with handrails, guard angle, ladders and fendering system.  Construction of 4 new timber dolphins.  Replacement of existing airline.

The scope of work will provide design/build services for the renovation and new construction in an 110,000 SF space over three floors at the Suitland facility as well as some minor new construction in the Bowie Computer Center in Bowie, MD.  Major work items include (but are not limited to) walls, pantries, plumbing, sprinkler/fire alarms, paint and carpet, raised access flooring, lighting and controls, IT/AV/security conduits/cabling, access control, and miscellaneous demo.

This scope of service also includes architectural and engineering services (A/E) for providing Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire & Life Safety

The scope of work will provide design/build services for the renovation and new construction of approximately 19,600 SF for EPA on the basement level of the WJC – West building.  Major work items will include (but are not limited to) potential lead ceiling abatement, walls, pantries, restrooms, plumbing, sprinkler/fire alarms, paint and carpet, VCT, lighting and controls, HVAC and controls, IT/AV conduits/cabling, access control, intrusion detection, miscellaneous security enhancements, miscellaneous demo, negative air containment, and night work.

This scope of service also includes architectural and engineering services (A/E) for providing Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire & Life Safety.

The U.S. Coast Guard Yard awards QSSI the Replace Gas Weld System at the USCG Baltimore Yard.

The works includes replacing existing underground and above ground Oxygen and Propylene gas distribution lines in the entire industrial area to include all piers, waterfront bulkheads and buildings, approximately 8500 linear feet. This will include all of the piers and the east wall. New lines will be tied into the interior of each building 78, 58, 8, and 8A at the existing main gas/oxygen manifolds.
